The parliament of the Isle of Man. It meets annually and consists of the governor (representing the sovereign) and council acting as the upper house, and an elected assembly called the House of Keys.

Origin

From Old Norse thing-vǫllr 'place of assembly', from thing 'assembly' + vǫllr 'field'.
