- (10 bc- ad 54), Roman emperor 41-54; full name Tiberius Claudius Drusus Nero Germanicus. His reign was noted for its restoration of order after Caligula’s decadence and for its expansion of the Empire, in particular the invasion of Britain in ad 43. His fourth wife, Agrippina, is said to have poisoned him.
