Definition of Warburg, Aby in English:

( 1866–1929), German art historian; full name Aby Moritz Warburg. From 1905 he built up a library in Hamburg, dedicated to preserving the classical heritage of Western culture. In 1933 it was transferred to England and housed in the Warburg Institute (part of the University of London).
