Anaximenes

Pronunciation: /ˌanakˈsɪmɪniːz/
(Fl. 6th century), Greek philosopher and scientist, who lived at Miletus. Anaximenes believed the earth to be flat and shallow, a view of astronomy that was a retrograde step from that of Anaximander.
