Bradley, James

Pronunciation: /ˈbradli/
(1693–1762), English astronomer. Bradley was appointed Astronomer Royal in 1742. He discovered the aberration of light and also observed the oscillation of the earth’s axis (nutation). His star catalogue was published posthumously.
