Franklin, Rosalind

Pronunciation: /ˈfraŋklɪn/
(1920–58), English physical chemist and molecular biologist; full name Rosalind Elsie Franklin. Together with Maurice Wilkins she investigated the structure of DNA by means of X-ray crystallography, and contributed to the discovery of its helical structure.
