Massine, Léonide Fédorovitch

Pronunciation: /maˈsiːn/
(1895–1979), US choreographer and ballet dancer, born in Russia; born Leonid Fyodorovich Myasin. He was the originator of the symphonic ballet, and danced in and choreographed the film The Red Shoes (1948).
