A light in a lighthouse or buoy which shines for a longer period than that for which it is cut off.
- The Dioptric white occulting light of the four order was too powerful and caused confusion with the Woodman Point Leading Light.
- In 1935 modifications in the same lighthouse were carried out and an occulting light equipment was installed in place of the fixed wick lamp.
