Palmer, Samuel

Pronunciation: /ˈpɑːmə/
(1805–91), English painter and etcher. His friendship with William Blake resulted in the mystical, visionary landscape paintings, such as Repose of the Holy Family (1824), for which he is best known. He was leader of a group of artists called The Ancients.
