Perutz, Max Ferdinand

Pronunciation: /ˈpɛrʊts/
(1914–2002), British biochemist, born in Austria. Through his use of X-ray crystallography he discovered the molecular structure of haemoglobin. Nobel Prize for Chemistry (1962).
