Pizarro, Francisco

Pronunciation: /pɪˈzɑːrəʊ/
(Circa 1478–1541), Spanish conquistador. He defeated the Inca empire and in 1533 set up a puppet monarchy at Cuzco, building his own capital at Lima (1535), where he was assassinated.
