Río de Oro

Pronunciation: /ˌriːəʊ deɪ ˈɔːrəʊ/
An arid region on the Atlantic coast of NW Africa, forming the southern part of Western Sahara. It was united with Saguia el-Hamra in 1958 to form the province of Spanish Sahara (now Western Sahara).
