Urey, Harold Clayton

Pronunciation: /ˈjʊəri/
(1893–1981), American chemist. He discovered deuterium in 1932, pioneered the use of isotope labelling, and became director of the Manhattan Project at Columbia University. Nobel Prize for Chemistry (1934).
