Venturi, Robert

(B.1925), American architect, pioneer of postmodernist architecture; full name Robert Charles Venturi. Among his buildings are the Humanities Classroom Building of the State University of New York (1973) and the Sainsbury Wing of the National Gallery in London (1991).
