Zappa, Frank

Pronunciation: /ˈzapə/
(1940–93), American rock singer, musician, and songwriter. In 1965 he formed the Mothers of Invention, who combined psychedelic rock with elements of jazz and satire. In Zappa’s later career he often mixed flowing guitar improvisations with scatological humour.
