  • 2 (but) لَكِنْ an unwise though courageous act تَصَرُّف غَيْر حَكيمٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ شُجاعٌ it's good, though I say it myself! هو جَيِّدٌ، وَأَقولُها بِكُلِّ تَواضُعٍ!


  • بالرَغْمِ من ذلك, مع ذلك she's not at home; I'll keep trying though هي لَيْسَتْ في المَنْزِلِ؛ وَمَعَ ذلك سَأَظَلُّ أُحاوِلُ fortunately, though, they survived وَلَكِنْ، لِحُسْنِ الحَظِّ، فَقَدْ نَجَوْا
