Logging in and access help
I can’t access my account
If you have a valid subscription to Oxford Dictionaries (or to Oxford Dictionaries Pro), you should be able to log in here using your username (usually your email address) and password.
If you’ve forgotten your password, you will be able to retrieve it here.
I can’t log in with Facebook or Google
If it’s the first time you’re logging in with Facebook or Google, please read our help guidelines here. If you have previously successfully logged in with Facebook or Google, and are now unable to, please check that another user isn’t already logged in to those sites using your browser. If another user is logged in, log out of their account and log in yourself before trying again to log in here.
I’m trying to access the site from my university library or public library
For help accessing the site using an institutional subscription, please read our institutional access help pages.
I can’t register because my username is already taken
If you already use your email address for another Oxford University Press product, you will not be able to create a new account on Oxford Dictionaries using that email address. Please log in with existing site credentials, using the ‘forgot password’ function to set a password for Oxford Dictionaries.
I have changed my account/subscription details but it doesn’t show in my account
There may be a slight delay before account changes can be seen on the account page. Please wait and then refresh your screen. You can also click here to refresh your account page.
My email address is already taken
