Help with your email subscriptions

Subscribing to the newsletter and Word of the Day

You can sign up to receive the Oxford Dictionaries newsletter and/or Word of the Day by email on your account page.

To subscribe to the free newsletter and/or Word of the Day, scroll to Manage your email subscriptions on your account page, tick 'subscribe', and press the 'submit' button. This will trigger a confirmation message from "Oxford University Press LISTSERV" to the email address linked to your account. The email will ask you to confirm your subscription, which you do by clicking the link in the email.

Once you've clicked the link, you should receive an email confirming your subscription. You will then start receiving regular newsletters and/or daily Words of the Day.

Troubleshooting:

  • No email? Check your 'junk' or 'spam' folder.
  • Already subscribed? If you already have an email subscription, you'll receive a notification of this.
  • Still unable to subscribe? If you are unable to subscribe for whatever reason, please contact us and we will look into it.

You can also subscribe to Word of the Day via RSS feed.

Unsubscribing from the newsletter or Word of the Day

To unsubscribe from the newsletter and / or Word of the Day, scroll to Manage your email subscriptions on your account page, tick 'unsubscribe' and click 'submit'.  You should receive an email from "Oxford University Press LISTSERV" to the email address linked to your account, confirming your removal from the email list.

Troubleshooting:

  • No email? Check your 'junk' or 'spam' folder.
  • Not on the list? If you receive an email saying that your email could not be found on the list to unsubscribe you, it could be because your newsletter or Word of the Day subscription is linked to a different email address from your Oxford Dictionaries account. To unsubscribe in this case, please follow the instructions in the Newsletter or Word of the Day email in your inbox itself for unsubscribing.
  • Still unable to unsubscribe? If you are unable to unsubscribe for whatever reason, please contact us and we will ensure you no longer receive unwanted emails.
